Hello! Today I was able to complete the size signs for the fair tomorrow. I finished cutting them out, with a little help from Teresa and Jenny, and then I labeled them with a white paint marker by size (S, S/M, M, L, & XL). I went over the letters twice to make them really stand out against the black. After that I finished them off by coloring the edges with sharpie again to ensure that I didn't miss anything. I think they turned out pretty good for being made from cardboard. The letters are big, so customers will be able to see the sizing far away and so they won't have to check every single garment to figure out its size. After I completed the signs I took over steaming for Aimee, so that she could take a break. She decided to begin scrap busting. It's official, she started a new basket; basket #2! I learned the proper way to steam garments and helped steam the rest of the items that we are loading up in the car for the fair. We all worked together to get all of the finished touches completed and everything prepared and ready to go for tomorrow's chaos.
Teresa and Jenny were in the sewing studio on Tuesday making a gorgeous infinity scarf from some of the large scraps that Aimee and I had cut. It just goes to show how beautiful things are created from practically nothing. I believe that they finished it today along with making a couple of other items for the artisan far in Nashville tomorrow at Centennial Park. I hope to see some of you there. Go check out the photo gallery and look at some pictures of me working on the new signs!
